Event Description

This webinar will provide attendees with a detailed overview of the Family Medical Leave Act's (FMLA) provisions and a breakdown of both employer and employee rights under this law and its intermittent leave provisions. This law provides job protected leave for an employee or family member's serious health condition, the birth, adoption or foster placement of a child, or for certain reasons related to a service member's serious health condition or deployment. This webinar will assist employers and managers to understand the limits of this law's intermittent leave provisions to reduce potential abuse by employees and allow employers to draft appropriate policies for the workplace.

This 90-minute webinar will be hosted by Maureen Louise Pomeroy, an employment attorney and human resources consultant with over 20 years of experience, who will discuss the details of this law and provide best practices for employers on how to avoid employee abuse of leave under FMLA.
