Cassie Werber is a reporter for Quartz based in London, where she writes about friendship, love, sex, and death. Previously she covered renewable energy for Quartz, and before that was an energy reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Cassie is co-organizer of Hacks Hackers London, a monthly networking group for journalists and technologists. She studied at Cambridge University and has an MA in business and finance journalism from City University, London, and the University of Aarhus in Denmark. Prior to journalism, Cassie studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama and ran a professional theater company. She comes from Ipswich, along with Cardinal Wolsey, and no one else famous.
