Event Description

Incivility is out of control. From raunchy reality TV to shameless shouters on cable news to raving wild-eyed parents at kid's sporting events, it's a rude race to the bottom of bad behavior. Not to mention what's coming out of Washington, talk radio and social media. A recent study reports that 70 percent of U.S. adults say incivility is at a crisis level.

At work, it's beyond annoying. Psychologists define workplace incivility as "deviant behavior with ambiguous intent to harm the target." You know it as rude, discourteous conduct by employees and managers. It's under-the-radar microaggression that correlates with reduced productivity, increased turnover, and can escalate to illegal harassment and bullying.

Common courtesy and good manners do not have to remain a quaint memory from days of yore. In this 75-minute webinar by a nationally bullying and harassment expert, you will learn the facts about the mushrooming growth of workplace incivility, receive techniques to identify the sources of bad behavior, and instructions on how to halt them.
